Zoey’s sessions with producer Matt Chiaravalle (Enisa, Debbie Harry, Warren Zevon, and Courtney Love) are freewheeling—all eras and genres are fodder for inspiration.

Zoey is a triple-threat talent who has studied musical theater, opera, classical, dance, acting, and voice privately and at prestigious institutions such as Berklee College of Music and the American Academy of Dramatic Arts. 

Along the way, she has worked with Emmy-winning director-choreographer Kenny Ortega (Michael Jackson, High School Musical, Dirty Dancing, etc.), and Emmy and Tony-winning singer and actress Kristin Chenoweth (Wicked, Glee) with whom she sang on stage with on numerous occasions. Zoey is currently working with NBC’s The Voice’s coach Stevie Mackey and has sung on stage at his famous Taco Tuesday events. Zoey hones her skills with vocal coach Craig Wich, a founding director of the nationally renowned Opera Laboratory Theater Company of Boston and faculty member at the Boston Conservatory of Music. Wich has trained numerous Broadway leads.

Growing up, Zoey was a precocious little girl when it came to her music career. Despite everyone in her family having traditional jobs and careers, Zoey arrived on the scene with natural gifts as an entertainer and the business mind to achieve her dreams. “ I was very outgoing and loved anything creative,” she says.

What distinguished Zoey from many starry-eyed children was that she had a tireless work ethic and was willing to do what it takes to go pro. She spent hours in her room studying powerhouse singers from all decades, perfecting nuances like vibrato, melisma, and phrasing. She also found herself balancing an unwieldy schedule of auditions, studio sessions, and private lessons with schoolwork.

Zoey recently relocated to New York City to pursue her career opportunities and currently lives in the East Village, a thriving musical community, and she looks forward to playing clubs and musical venues. Madison’s time in the studio has been foundational for shaping her artistry. “I had to retrain myself to sing in the studio as it’s very different from being onstage. There was definitely a learning curve,” she explains.  

Zoey has risen to the occasion and emerged as a seasoned studio vet capable of recreating her dynamic stage presence in the studio, on cue. Her latest single is the soaring ballad, “Love Like You,” which features sweeping strings, crystalline pianos, and a hopeful take on heartbreak. The song showcases Zoey’s penchant for lush arrangements. It starts off simple, but there are many layers, especially in the harmony-filled bridge, a segment Zoey is particularly fond of. Zoey has a remarkable ear for harmonies and melodies. “I wanted to add even more! After it was mastered, I was jokingly singing over it, ready to add more stuff,” she says, laughing. 

Up next, Zoey will be releasing more singles, performing in theaters and clubs, and enjoying performing and making music from a broad array of musical genres.
